ATMOSPHERIC SCREENERS

GUMP OFFERS THE WIDEST RANGE OF ATMOSPHERIC SCREENER CONFIGURATIONS...

In competitive multiple level screeners there are two basic flow arrangements possible: series or parallel.  In a Gump screener, the most flexible screener in the industry, you may use series,

parallel or a combination of both to provide up to six separations (each additional separation having the same screen area as the first).  Only the true rotary motion of the Gump screener makes this possible.  This motion is the most gentle and delivers maximum capacity and efficiency.

SERIES SCREEN ARRANGEMENT

When the differential between particle size and mesh opening is small, greater retention time on the screen is needed.  Series flow achieves this end by providing for sequential passing of the product over the screens.

PARALLEL SCREEN ARRANGEMENT

When the differential between particle size and mesh opening is great, parallel screen configurations provide the higher capacity. Material is fed to two or more screens, meaning that the screens function simultaneously rather than sequential.

COMBINATION SCREEN ARRANGEMENT

Only possible with a truly rotary sifter, this approach provides high capacity at the feed end with a long retention finish. Made possible by Gump's outstanding flexibility in internal flow arrangement, which can bring the greatest efficiency to the most demanding applications.

...AND UNEQUALED BENEFITS...

PRODUCTIVITY --the greatest... assured by 100% rotary motion of all screen area.
FLEXIBILITY --the preceding schematics just sample the unequalled range of internal arrangements possible with screeners--and there is never a reduction in screen area regardless of the number of separations made.
DURABILITY --Gump screeners are built to last for round the clock operation. Many units have been in operation for decades and still perform as they were when new.
COMPACT --for example: the screener design permits up to 48 sq. ft. of screen surface in less than 13 sq. ft. of floor space--up to 114 sq. ft. in comparable space.  Low profile lets you "shoe horn" it into position.
ADAPTABLE --wide range of models accepts many flow arrangements and easily accommodates different inlet and outlet locations. Minimizes plant layout and installation process.

QUIET, SMOOTH RUNNING --low overall sound levels, screener/sifters meet OSHA standards.
SIMPLIFIED HOUSEKEEPING --dust tight design and precision construction contribute to minimizing maintenance.
CHOICE OF INTERNAL CONSTRUCTION --stainless steel and aluminum are standard--other materials of construction available if required.
SIMPLEST INSTALLATION --screeners are delivered complete.  Just install in place, connect the flexible sleeves into inlet and outlet, and go to work.
SANITARY MODELS --3A, BISSC, NSC or USDA approved--if your application must meet a sanitary standard, inquire from Gump.
