SERIES
SCREEN ARRANGEMENT

When the differential
between particle size and mesh opening is small, greater
retention time on the screen is needed. Series flow
achieves this end by providing for sequential passing of the
product over the screens.
|
PARALLEL
SCREEN ARRANGEMENT

When the
differential between particle size and mesh opening is
great, parallel screen configurations provide the higher
capacity. Material is fed to two or more screens, meaning
that the screens function simultaneously rather than
sequential.

COMBINATION
SCREEN ARRANGEMENT

Only possible
with a truly rotary sifter, this approach provides high capacity
at the feed end with a long retention finish. Made possible by
Gump's outstanding flexibility in internal flow arrangement,
which can bring the greatest efficiency to the most demanding
applications.
